Bayern Munich midfielder, Renato Sanches, is in very high demand this transfer window as Kicker reports that now Roma and Juventus are now in the running for his services.
Ever since the Bavarian team placed the 20-year-old Portuguese player on the market, there have been various teams that have shown their interest in him.
Previously, rumors abounded that Liverpool and AC Milan were top contenders for Sanches’ signature. Now it seems like they have more challengers in trying to nab the talented midfielder.
Ever since his brilliant performance at the 2016 European Championship, Sanches was heavily sought after and he ended up transferring to the reigning German champions for €35 million in 2016.
However, his debut season with Bayern was less than stellar as he made only 25 appearances and did not tally a single goal or assist.
FCB legend Lothar Matthäus heavily criticized the Portuguese international calling him one of the “flops” of the season. Sanches himself said that he wasn’t proud of his play in his first season, but looked forward to next season to improve his play.
Now with his career at Bayern in doubt, a move to either the Serie A or the Premier League could revitalize his career and help him out the slump he currently finds himself in.
